In 2000, I was introduced to the blogging world. I’m not sure how, nor do I remember whose blog I stumbled onto first, but I remember my mark back then. I was on the verge of entering high school and the internet was the thing everyone was into. And by everyone, I mean other middle schoolers my age. We would sign on AIM once we got off the school bus and would stay on until the wee hours of the morning, only to do it again the next day. Again, I’m not sure what had me venture off the path of checking my email and talking in chat rooms, but I’m glad it did. I had no idea that the hours spent coding and designing would lead me to my passion and love of graphic and web design. Now, I’m an in-house media designer for a company in Georgia. Through this job, backed by my high school hobby, I realized that I have found an industry I am passionate about. It simply lied in my beginnings, my roots.
My roots are why I started this blog. I want to document my life in real time. Some of it is verbal, some is purely cognitive, and some is visual. God has blessed me with an amazing livelihood. There is so much more in store [in my life] and I want to share it. That’s it. I’m not looking for a means to collect another check. I don’t want this blog to be filled with senseless plugs and advertisements. I just want to write. That’s all.
That’s all I had to say.
